This isn’t something you expect to see your boss put out there.
Apparently, following the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Red Bull Racing second Yuki Tsunoda decided to take a trip to Lake Como, Italy. However, according to his Instagram story, he lost something along the way.
No, it wasn’t his heart in the heat of some kind of summer romance — it was his phone.
After putting out a call for, essentially, someone to drag the lake to find his phone (not really), the official Red Bull Racing social media gave Tsunoda an assist, while also kind of making fun of his latest debacle.
Tsunoda might not want to find his phone at the moment, as he hasn’t exactly lived up to the lofty standards that Red Bull’s proper outfit (unlike the Racing Bulls) hold its drivers. Not only is Tsunoda being overshadowed by teammate Max Verstappen (which is 100% to be expected), he’s beyond struggling — lately not even being in the midfield.
Regardless, it’s a good thing to have a little humor in the interim between Silverstone and Spa. Because soon, the summer break will be here, and things will become much more serious as teams and drivers make decisions about their futures.
Which, for Red Bull and Tsunoda, might mean a reboot. But the Hungarian team is also bracing as rumors swirl about Verstappen and Mercedes.
